There is nothing in the world like sailing in the British Virgin Islands, and if you are a new sailor or are just contemplating where you will learn to sail, the BVI should be at the tip-top of your list.

The line-of-sight sailing to picture-perfect islands, each with its own character and personality, the reliable trade winds of the Sir Frances Drake Channel, the friendly and inviting water begging for a snorkeling or diving adventure, and the many charter companies and sailing schools that home base in the BVI are only a few of the reasons it is a must-explore destination.

The hurricane season of 2017 was devastating for the islands, and rebuilding to 100% will take time, but all reports are that favorite spots on Cooper Island, Virgin Gorda, and Jost Van Dyke to name a few are visitor-ready. Sounds like our favorite spots on Anegada are still there as well.

We can’t wait to go back in 2019!
